The big thaw

This week we've had a particularly radical thaw. The previous week we had more than 1 metre of snow on the ground and the river was totally frozen. During the last 5 days, it rained, and nearly 10 degree Celsius which has melted ice and created these monstrous blocks on the shore.

Cette semaine, nous avons eu droit a un degel particulierement radical. La semaine precedente nous avions encore plus de 1 metre de neige au sol et toute la riviere etait gelée. Pendant les 5 derniers jours il a plu et fait pres de 10 degre Celcius ce qui a fait fondre les glaces et creer ces blocs monstrueux sur la berge.
